One day, my youngest son dropped by the office. My son saw my pen stand, lifted it, and squeaky bird sounds and electronic bugles resounded. ‘Powow,’ my son said, ‘pwah, pwah, pwah.’ The pen stand lit up and the plastic flower on top turned around. I don't know why, but it made me think of the garden of Eden. ‘Can I have it, dad?’ he asked ‘You'll have to ask the pen stand.’ Quietly, my son put the pen stand to his ear. ‘Yes, it agrees.’
