The speed in the production of a proof is what I find most exciting about the photocopier. It allows for more experimentation in a shorter amount of time when compared to the process of inking and printing plates. I believe a photocopier should be considered a tool for fine art printmaking. It allows a person to create and manipulate images just like every other medium. At the very least it could be integrated into the printmaking process, but I certainly believe it had the potential to be considered a tool.
